Our friends at Elders’ Climate Action are leading Grandparents’ Climate Action Days on September 9 and 10. We’re supporting them by taking photos to send to our public officials, showing what we’re doing, and asking them to take action in their sphere. A huge alliance of folks will be holding a Moral Action for Climate Justice rally on September 24-25, while Pope Francis is in Washington, so —if you’re so moved— snap a couple of extra photos, and reach out to your elected officials during both gatherings!
Here’s what to do:
Take photos of elders, children, or multi-generational groups
Take selfies with signs (large, legible print with a simple message about climate change, faith, and intergenerational responsibility or hope)
Take photos of people taking action to reduce their footprints and support their communities IDEA LIST below.
Email your photo(s) with a short faith-and-climate message to us and we’ll turn it into a photo with words on it or a captioned photo. (If you want to do it yourself, this is the site we use.) We’ll make sure you have the proper email addresses to get it to your Congressman and Senators.
