On March 15th at 7pm, we will hold our next virtual PA IPL Statewide Monthly Meeting and Program focusing on the topic of Project Drawdown.
Our speaker for the event is Chris E. Forest. Chris is a Professor of Climate Dynamics in the Department of Meteorology and Atmospheric Science at The Pennsylvania State University, where he is part of the Earth and Environmental Systems Institute and is the Director of the Center for Earth System: Modeling, Analysis, and Data.
His research focuses on quantifying uncertainty in climate predictions for assessing climate risks. He has a BS in Applied Math, Engineering, and Physics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a PhD in Meteorology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
He has served as lead author on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change AR5 (Fifth Assessment Report) and on committees for the National Academies, American Physical Society, American Association for the Advancement of Science, and American Meteorological Society.
