October 2020 Sustained Advocacy Policy Update Call

Our Sustained Advocacy Policy Update call is coming up on Thursday, October 22nd from 12:30-1:30 PM EST.

Both “old hats” and folks new to policy discussions or advocacy report finding these calls useful.   Indeed, the calls and summaries include tools for interesting and worthwhile conversations with friends, family, and congregational study groups in addition to curated policy updates, positive news, and 2 advocacy actions, and a closing meditation or prayer.

You are welcome to join these Zoom calls from your phone or your computer — we share links in the chat during the call which will later appear in the summary.  There is no fee to participate, just your normal costs for call minutes or internet service.  You will receive a well-labeled “LINK” email in your inbox the morning of the call.  That will contain both phone and computer connection information. Whether or not you can join live, you will receive the summary in your inbox a week after the call.  We are able to do this work because of financial donations of all sizes, given by people like you.

If you and/or your friends are interested in joining, please sign up here.

At PA IPL, we believe that policy is a covenant with the future. We see household and congregational action as important spiritual discipline, and as illustrations of the possible.  We know, too, that more is needed and that action is possible at local, state, and national levels.

In these calls and beyond, we focus attention on the moral implications of climate change and energy policy.  We are committed to conversations that are radically nonpartisan, and that invite everyone into bold and necessary action.
