January’s film, The True Cost is a documentary about the clothes we wear, the people who make them, and the impact the industry is having on our world. The price of clothing has been decreasing for decades, while the human and environmental costs have grown dramatically. Free and open to the public.
The Environmental Justice Committee of PA IPL member congregation Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church has selected 3 documentaries to be shown at the Bryn Mawr Film Institute. Each will be followed by thought-provoking discussions as part of the committee’s ongoing mission to educate and advocate for God’s creation in the congregation and the larger community

Seed: The Untold Story, April 12: 94% of our seed varieties have disappeared in the last century. A group of heroes defend the future of food. Discussion after the film will be led by Laurie Bachman, Executive Director of Riverbed Environmental Education Center in Gladwyne.
