February 8, 2017 @ 7:30 PM - 9:00 PMFree
Join us in the Fireside Room at Grace Lutheran Church at 7:30 (we’ll have signs on the doors to direct you) Grace’s Super Wednesday study will break up at 7:15 — we’ll have some cookies and coffee in the gathering area on the main floor during the transition. Anyone is invited to join members of Grace for Super Wednesday dinner at 5:30 or the study 6:15-7:15.
Catch some vision!
Be inspired and provoked as Todd Wynward shares modern-day examples of communities rewilding their way, practicing creative resistance, everyday courage, and prophetic Imagination in our challenging times of environmental and economic change.
When he’s not rewilding Christianity, Todd Wynward spends his time reinventing public education and re-imagining the American way of life, starting with his own. He is married, with one son. Todd has been engaged in experiential education and social change movements for twenty years. He is cofounder of a wilderness-based public charter school, leads backpacking and river trips for adult seekers, and is an animating force behind TiLT, an intentional life change movement in Taos, New Mexico.
We’ll do a door prize drawing for a copy of Todd’s book, Rewilding the Way: Break Free to Follow an Untamed God, which he’ll sign for you! Can’t make it, but want to order a copy? We love to support small bookstores. We ordered ours from the good folks at Hearts and Minds Books in Dallastown, PA (Todd’s book made their “best books of 2015” list)
Todd Wynward is a Board member at New Mexico Interfaith Power & Light, and is in Pennsylvania for 3 events: this one, a similar talk at Plains Mennonite Church in Montgomery County, and a weekend retreat that the Franconia Mennonite Conference has opened to friends and members of PA IPL.
