Prayer as if the Earth Really Matters: Philly-area workshop and potluck

December 1, 2014 @ 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Free

Communities of faith are increasingly bringing their prayer and practices to bear on a profound religious and spiritual question: the radical dangers posed by the climate crisis to the web of human and more-than-human life forms on Planet Earth. We will explore both how Earth-awareness can enter more deeply into our formal prayer services and also how public action, intended to affect public and corporate policy toward the Earth, can become prayerful.

Please join us for this post-Thanksgiving Dinner and Discussion:  Prayer as if the Earth Really Matters, An Interfaith Workshop Led by Rabbi Arthur Waskow of the Shalom Center

Vegetarian potluck provided by PA IPL, so please do let us know if you plan to come!
Monday, December 1, 6-8 p.m., hosted by new PA IPL congregational member Mishkan Shalom, at the corner of Shurs Lane & Freeland Avenue
