This in-person event has been cancelled, and will be resumed as we all begin resuming normal activities. We encourage those who can to join “in spirit” from their own homes or from a walking path at the appointed time.
This partner event is hosted by members of Pittsburgh’s Buddhist Communities and supported by the Pittsburgh chapter of PA IPL. It is open to people of faith and spirit, regardless of your religion or tradition.
When: Fridays, 1:00-2:00 pm, starting on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2020
Where: in front of the Pittsburgh City-County Building, 414 Grant St., Pittsburgh
What: Climate healing meditation sessions are convened by climate warriors from various Buddhist traditions together with people from local interfaith communities. We are supporting our striking young people through meditation — compassion, loving, kindness, and mindful awareness.
How: Just sit and meditate —or do your own spiritual practice— from a few minutes to up to 60 minutes, any time that works for you. Do waking meditation in between the sessions if you want to. Sometimes there might be several meditators, sometimes only a few, occasionally none in-person, though several in-spirit.
