The Eco-Justice Collaborative invites of Philadelphia Yearly Meeting welcomes members of the community to join us on Saturday, May 18, 2019
10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
in the Rufus Jones Room of the
Friends’ Center in Philadelphia 

Friends Caring for Each Other in Times of Extreme Weather”  Extreme weather puts our lives, schools, houses of worship, and homes at risk. How can we protect our community and serve our neighbors in very tangible ways in times of natural disaster? The program will cover:

  • Resilience – Developing a Meeting (Congregational) Preparedness Plan
  • Protecting our buildings and responding to Disaster
  • Emotional and Spiritual Care

Workshop leaders: Paul Spiegel, Practical Energy Solutions, Paula Kline Ed.D. and Nora Wright MSW
