This meeting, recorded Tuesday, June 2, 2026, is the second of four sessions of our 2026 Interfaith Spiritual Care zoom series, “Call of the Wild and Journey to Wholeness.”
In losing our intimate relationship with the Earth, modern humans have suffered a trauma that has caused our wild souls to splinter. We are not always aware of it happening; so accustomed have we become to our high-speed, high-tech, built-up lives. Yet even in remaining unconscious of the source of our pain, we experience separation through alienation and a lack of living.
This year, PA IPL’s annual four-part Interfaith Spiritual Care Webinar Series journeys into the wild environs of the soul through five archetypal landscapes: deserts, forests, oceans and rivers, mountains, and grasslands. The “Soul-scapes” are the merging of inner and outer nature – the meeting place of the self and Earth. As we enter their depths, we will awaken the metaphors of the landscapes within ourselves and lay claim to the wild wisdom and power at the core of our being. Tutored by the wild places, we will slow down, step outside, and let ourselves be absorbed into something larger and less tame than our small, isolated self.
On June 2nd, from 7-8pm on zoom, we took a journey deep into the heart of our second Soul-scape: Earth’s Waters. Exploring this topic through music, prayer, meditation, and small group discussion, we invite you to awaken to the ancient Earth-consciousness that resides with us all, that we can access at any time.

Additionally, we offer suggestions for attendees to organize faith specific celebrations in their community.
