STATE COLLEGE: Screening, Discussion, and Community: Before the Flood

All are welcome for this screening of  “Before the Flood”  This 2016 documentary on climate change debuted on the National Geographic Channel this fall   State College Friends welcome everyone for an evening of film and conversation.  

YES! There will be REFRESHMENTS!

Discussion to follow:  A climate scientist will be available after the film to answer questions and participate in the discussion.

Looking for volunteers for a kid-care movie option for ages 5-10.

THINGS to BRING (optional):
– old friends
– a warm greeting for new friends
– a pen to write a letter while your energy is high
– a new LED light bulb to share with a family in danger of needing fuel through the Centre County Fuel Bank —PA IPL works with the fuel bank administrators to lead 1 hour classes in low-cost changes and habits that will save energy — saving energy helps families in financial need right away, reduces exposure for those who live downwind of power plants and is a great way to care for our Common Home.
– a little cash, in case you are tempted by rainforest-friendly fair-trade crafts by the Center for Amazon Community Ecology
